Acts 1:8 Missions Model

"But you will receive the power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be my witnesses, in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the Ends of the Earth."

Asbury desires to become a faithful missionary church. Toward that end, Asbury will strive to:

• Pray that all will come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ (John 17:20)
• Share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all creation (Mark 16:15)
• Seek the lost (Luke 19:10)
• Equip the saints to do the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:12)
• Send missionaries into each realm identified in Acts 1:8
• Involve every member in missions (1 Corinthians 12:27)
• Invest the majority of our resources on serving others (Philippians 2:4)

Asbury will obey this directive by intentionally reaching out to people in Jesus' name locally, domestically, where we might rather not go, and to the ends of the earth. Further, Asbury will promote this mission by fanning the flames of personal passion for Jesus Christ and equipping the Asbury membership to naturally share the Good News with unbelievers in every aspect of their lives.
