Choose Life of North Alabama

Choose Life of North Alabama, Inc. is a non-profit Christian organization that ministers to the emotional, spiritual, and material needs of those in our area facing unplanned pregnancies or dealing with the aftermath of pregnancy loss. As part of this vital ministry, Choose Life offers free pregnancy tests and ultrasound services (when deemed appropriate), adoption awareness, Biblical counseling and discipleship, material support, and prayer. As a result of the OB/GYN doctors who volunteer their time to this ministry, 89% of the women who are at risk for abortion choose life after seeing their unborn child for the first time on an ultrasound. In addition, Choose Life offers programs such as: Healing Hands , a recovery program for those suffering emotionally from a terminated pregnancy; A Fathers Hands , a ministry to encourage and support men in their roles as father and husband; Life Choices , an individual client mentoring program.

On average, Life Choices ministers to 370 clients a year individually, with ages ranging from 14 to 40. The mission is to help clients make positive and educated choices for their lives and families, and most importantly, to see the clients walking daily with Jesus Christ. As clients attend counseling sessions for Life Choices , expectant mothers who have chosen life for their babies receive essentials to help them care for their newborns when they arrive. Most clients have great need for material support during this time in their lives.
