MEMBER DEVELOPMENT/VOLUNTEER SERVICES MINISTRY DESCRIPTIONS

HOSPITALITY
Discover Asbury Welcome Team – This team meets with new members or visitors one Wednesday Night per month during the school year.  Volunteers can greet new members, talk and eat dinner with guest, or give church tours after the meeting with the pastors.  Another opportunity is on Sundays before new members and visitors meet with the Senior Pastor. This team helps to set up and prepare light appetizers one Sunday per month for 2 hours.

Camera and Welcoming Team – Greet, take pictures and provide a Welcome Package to new members at one of the 5 Worship Services one time per month.   Only 15 minutes needed one Sunday per month if there are new members.

First Time Visitor Team – Volunteers call and/or pray for first time visitors of our church.  They contact first time visitors within 24-48 hours after the visitor completes the Welcome Card for one week per month for one hour.

Information Follow-Up Team – This team follows up with information requests made by members/visitors to make sure they were contacted about initial information requests.  Typically volunteers call one week per month for approximately one hour.

ADMINISTRATIVE
Count Me In Brochure Team – Help insert the Count Me In brochure in the bulletin one Friday per month for two hours. 

New Member Bulletin Board Team – If you like to administrative work this team helps with processing the new member information.  This includes putting new member pictures in the church database and printing and posting these pictures on the NEW MEMBER BOARD approximately one week for one hour per month.

Data Entry Team- Enter various information into the church database on an as needed basis.  Special help is needed from November – January for the annual 111.1 Commitment Drive.

Office Administration – Light typing or assembling information on an as needed basis.  Special help is needed from August – October for the annual 111.1 Commitment Drive.

MEMBER OUTREACH
Member Follow-Up Team – Be a part of a team to send pre-printed postcards or contact members that are not regularly attending church.

New Member Visitation Team- Once a new member(s) join the church, volunteers visit new members to help them with any initial questions they have about joining the church.
