United Methodist Women

PURPOSE

The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Here at Asbury, the UMW is an organized group of women and members of the unit range in ages from 20 to 80 years. We are a diverse group of women, coming from different backgrounds with varied interests, but share one common thread... the belief that we can make a difference in the world through our involvement in local and global missions. The UMW unit is broken down into several smaller groups called ‘circles.’ The circles have been formed to allow for different mission focuses and to accommodate different meeting times. Each and every woman is invited to join United Methodist Women!
