Prime-Timers 50+ Ministry

The Prime-Timer ministry consists of over 200 households. There are people who are married, single, widowed, working, retired...and if they are retired, they seem to be busier than ever!! Our ministry is open to any senior in the community, whether an Asbury member, or not. We consider it our mission to open our events to any seniors in our community who might be interested. We try to plan at least one monthly event. Sometimes we travel on a day trip out of town, or we might have a luncheon event at church. We try to do a variety of events, and we are always open to suggestions for fun places to travel. We have partnered with Whitesburg Baptist Church to travel with them on extended trips out of state. The ages of our Prime-Timers range from some "babies" in their 50's to some "golden oldies" in their 90's. If you think this is a group of old ladies that just sits around knitting, then you've got us mixed up with someone else! This is a dynamic group of people, some of whom are still traveling on mission trips to South America and Russia, and to the areas ravaged by Hurricane Katina. It is a mixture of men and women who are still doing the Lord's work and living life to the fullest! Come join us at one of our events soon. We would love to meet you!
