Member Care
The Congregational Care Team serves to nurture the spiritual, physical, emotional, and social needs of all people. By sharing the love of Christ through prayer, social activities, and outreach in time of need, we hope to help others realize the blessing that comes from being Disciples of Christ. | Cards & Letters |
To keep in touch and to show we care, cards, and letters are sent during times of crisis, distress, and celebration. |
| Food Ministry for Sick |
Provide a meal for members when they are unable to cook for themselves. |
| Funeral Ministry |
Help grieving families before and during the church service and also coordinate with the funeral home directors. |
| Food Ministry for Funerals |
Provide a meal for families, primarily church members, who request assistance at the time of a funeral. |
| Hospital/Home Visitation |
To assist Asbury ministers with visitation of members and constituents who are locally hospitalized and /or at home recovering. |
| Asbury Connect |
For those who are no longer able to fellowship at the church on a regular basis, Nurture Pals are assigned to make frequent visits, phone calls, and provide other care as needed. |
| Stephen Ministry |
Stephen Ministry is a ministry in our congregation in which trained and supervised lay persons, called Stephen Ministers, provide one-to-one Christian care to individuals facing life challenges or difficulties. |
| Transportation |
Periodically provide transportation for those unable to drive to attend church activities and to meet health needs. |
| Deaf Ministry |
Sign language is provided at various contemporary services. |
| Counseling Center |
The Asbury Child and Family Counseling Center has developed programs to meet the needs of people from the church and the community. The Center offers counseling for children (in a child-friendly environment), teens, families, marriages, and individual adults. |
