Choirs
The Chancel Choir is our primary worship leader for the 9:00 worship service. We sing a mixed repertoire including traditional, contemporary, spiritual, gospel and music of the masters. Rehearsals are paced for the hardworking individual that prefers to end the day on a joyous note. We gather on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 for hard work and lots of laughter. Chancel Choir is open to all throughout the year; please join us! Nursery Provided
Asbury Singers is the primary leader for the 10:30 worship service. We sing upbeat traditional music that speaks to the heart of today's traditional worshipper. We rehearse on Wednesdays at 6:00; join us! Nursery Provided
For those that desire even more, we offer opportunities for ensembles and solos drawing from the members of the two primary traditional choirs.
The Festival Choir consists of the Chancel Choir and other individuals not able to make a long-term commitment to the Choir. This Choir presents the music for Christmas programs throughout December and special music during Lent. It is open to all and rehearses at 7:00 on Wednesdays. Nursery Provided
Women's Ensemble (Echoes of Grace) is an ensemble that meets on Sundays at 5pm in the Sanctuary beginning August 16. They sing for Sunday morning worship, local nursing homes and special services September through April. They sing a mixed repertoire including accappella and accompanied music. This is not an auditioned group and a nursery is provided.
Men's Ensemble meets on Sundays at 6pm in the Sanctuary beginning August 16. This is a wonderful group singing many styles of music, from gospel to classical, hymns to barbershop. The men’s ensemble sings regularly in the worship services, but also at local nursing homes and special services September through April. .
