Asbury Mission Team Area:  Ends of the Earth

Moises and Talsy are native Panamanians who came to faith in Jesus Christ and received their missionary calling in a dramatic way while working in Sudan in the late 1980’s.  They have served in their home country over 10 years with e3 Partners (formerly Global Missions Fellowship).  They are called to Christ’s Great Commission through evangelism, discipleship and church planting.  The Vega’s faithfully and fearlessly look for new opportunities and unreached groups to which to equip and establish church planting teams.

“It was back in 1991 while working as an engineer in Sudan, at a sugar cane factory, the biggest in Africa, at that time.  I heard an inner voice that told me the following: ‘You will work for me full time, you are not going to be an engineer for the world anymore, and you will work for me full time.’  I was stunned for at that time we had no idea of ‘full time job with God’.  Since my conversion in 1984 to 1991, I  was in a ‘school from God,’  We had no pastor, Sunday school teacher or guidance whatsoever; it was the Holy Spirit guiding us through a home group that met together in our home three times a week to share and learn from each other.” – Moises

“More church planters are needed in cities and remote areas.  Therefore, finding and equipping the new generation of God’s called people has become our number one priority.” – Moises and Talsy Vega

“We are normal people, made at the image of God with gifts and weaknesses, like any other person, with a family with problems and good times.  We face the daily challenges as any family, our children are like any other but at the same time we are different for we have been cleansed in Jesus and He has opened our understanding to see the world with compassion.” – Moises and Talsy
