Asbury Mission Team Area:  Judea

RFKC is a one-week, overnight camp held locally in the Madison area specifically designed to create positive memories for battered, broken and neglected children, many of whom are also foster children in Madison County.  Carefully-trained, caring adults show these children genuine love through fun camp activities, listening, words of encouragement, and lots of hugs.  Asbury has partnered with RFKC with the vision that through our volunteers demonstrating Jesus’ love, these young people will open their hearts to His eternal love, bringing them to true healing.  Please pray that His love and power will break through to each of the children served, and that they may “grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and know this love” (Ephesians 3:18-19).

At camp, campers list things in a “Dear God” letter that they are thankful for:
“Thanks for making me and making me alive…”
“Thank you for all the fun at camp…thank you for the food.”
“Thank you for bringing me to someplace where I can get good cloths to wear…and someone can help me, take care of me, and love me.”
“Thank you that I can pray to you.  Thank you for being with me all this time!  You are the most wonderful father I ever had.  Can I be with you forever?”
