Darcie and her husband, Tim, joined VOM in 1998, after years of cross-cultural work with Navajo Indians and having started “One For Another Ministry” in Florida.  They rallied evangelical Christians around issues that were common to all, one of which was persecution of Christians in other countries.  Darcie has a deep burden for believers in restricted and hostile nations, having gone personally to 15 – and counting!—to serve them and support them so that they may continue to be faithful witnesses.  Darcie advocates for persecuted Christians before State Department groups and Congress, often by invitation, sharing information and details, being a “voice” for “them that are in bonds.” (Hebrews 13:3)

“God has always taken care of me.  As a woman he has opened doors where few women have gone...here and in hostile areas.  He has provided me with deliverance from bombings when our routes have been found... He has provided shelters and ditches… He is faithful in all my needs whether for food, shelter, protection, and open doors into closed off places.”—Darcy

“He has given me favor as I have gone to do something which seemed impossible to those looking on… He made the way to do what He had called me to do…There is nothing special about me except for the fact that God has called me to do this and He has made the impossible path passable.  He is faithful to enable you to do what He has called you to do… Don’t let what you don’t have deter you from doing what God has placed in your heart to do.  Ask Him to open the doors and direct your steps.”—Darcy
