Agape Prison Ministries Inc. is a Christian mission to evangelize and disciple prisoners at Limestone Correctional Facility. Through a partnership with Agape and Assistant Chaplain Dick Cantrell, Asbury has the opportunity to sponsor a faith-based honor dormitory. By helping the men to refurbish the dorm, establish a Christian library, teach Bible studies and lead weekly worship services, we have the opportunity to bring men to the only one who can really change their lives…Jesus. Sponsoring an honor dorm gives Asbury an opening to share our faith and gives the inmates the opportunity to live a faith based life, before they are released from prison.

“The Faith Based Honor Dorm System is probably the most successful program in  the State Department of Corrections to cause real change in inmates and return them back into society to be productive citizens. Statistics show that Honor Dorm graduates have a 15% rate of returning to prison once released. This compares to the 60-65% return rate of non-Honor Dorm inmates.  You do the math.  The money and time spent on the Honor Dorms bears fruit.”- Dick Cantrell
